Established in 2004, Jelly Games has been providing quality C&C Renegade servers for players. Jelly, together with his admin team sought to have a place to play free from server side modifications that changed the core gameplay of Renegade. As some of you may have noticed we were having some flooding issues today. Apparently Wilo or one of his associates is still bitter...

In any case this was the result of a temporary security glitch that has been fixed.

To prevent anything like this from happening again I'm going to bring both Renegade servers down about 10:00 Friday morning (Atlantic time) for a couple of hours at the most. I'll try to leave IRC and the forums intact but no promises on their lag factor or consistent uptime.

XWIS service is running again, you should have no problems with joining Jelly servers now.

Also, I'd like to remind everyone today's maintenance window beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST (1:00 a.m. GMT). All Jelly services will be unavailable for several hours.

XWIS service is currently offline so you will see no servers in ingame server listing. You have to use GSA or Direct Connect method to join.

After installation, go to Options -> Settings and fill what is required.


If you prefere Direct Connect using MS DOS command, read following:

If you want to play on Jelly Marathon, open cmd.exe, go to your Renegade directory and type:
game.exe +connect 174.36.116.30:8113 +netplayername <your nickname>

If you want to play on AOW1 server, go to your Renegade directory and type:
game.exe +connect 174.36.116.30:6800 +netplayername <your nickname>

In case you are not familiar with MS DOS commands, please read following detailed guide.


1. Once you run Explorer, you should see Address panel. If it's not there, go th Explorer's menu View -> Toolbars -> Address Bar. Use Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder with Renegade (game.exe). Click on the address, select it and press ctrl+c.
2. Click on Windows Start button, then click on Run.., type cmd.exe and press enter
This will open you usually black window.
2. Compare the beginning of the address you coppied with the beginning if current line in the cmd.exe window. If it starts with same letter (c: for instance) go to the next step. Otherwise type C: or D: etc. (depending on the letter in renegade address) and press enter
3. Type there cd\
This will change your path to the root of current drive
4. Type cd ", then right-click on the black window and select Paste, then add " again. And press enter.
This will create something like cd "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Renegade(tm)\Renegade".
5. Now you can use command mentioned above, i.e. game.exe +connect 174.36.116.30:8113 +netplayername <your nickname>

Hello!

Just a heads up, the server will be inaccessible for aprox. 6 hours, beginning on March 7th at 20:00 GMT-5 (EST).

The reason for this downtime is routine maintenance. It may run longer than 6 hours, and quite possibly shorter. During this time, no Jelly service will be accessible. This includes the website, IRC, TS, and the game servers.
