5 days til its release, anyone going to get it? Starcraft is the last RTS game i think i played all the wasy through 12 years ago.

I am planning on getting it for sure..i played the beta already and its soo much different than the first one its insane! The learning curve is already steep people will have to catch on quit because the beta testers are pretty good already. It will be a well spent 60 bucks imho

But really, if that's true, then most people will probably just torrent the single player campaigns for each race and buy one copy for online play.

I played the beta up until phase 2 ended with a few buddies. It was my first time playing SC so needless to say I was getting pwned. Bronze league ftw!

im probably wrong, the only reason i remember hearing about 3 seperate discs was because the races were going to play off each other like they did before, but this time with a whole buncha bonus things. maybe what u pre-ordered is just the terran campaign and the other two races will act as expansions. i could see blizzard doing that.

well assuming u havent got it to prove me wrong yet, ive noticed all the commericals have been focused on the terrans. i only saw one protoss and a shipload of zerg. whos knows, let me know how it is the xevan, ill give u a 6-8 month headstart so that when we 1v1 i wont beat u so bad

Apparently this is the first release (Wings of Liberty, Terrans) and later they will add Heart of the Swarm (Zerg) and Legacy of the Void (Protoss), so it sounds like hockey is correct.

Though this was in 2008, I can't find any news that it was changed so I assume it to be correct still.

they say expansion packs...so its like broodwar with the first sc. I think it will have all three races just maybe the campaign will be more focused on terran this time around?! this makes sense because of how all the commercials have been based on shots of terran with zerg attacking, protoss in the background etc...thats what im thinking!! but regardless for the 10 people who actually sit on the campaign and play that all day they will have to suffer, but we are gettin this for the online which probably won't differ. Also if its as great as i think it will be; playing the beta was the best thing i have ever done, then it won't be so bad to spend the extra money. Just dont' go and buy the next two wow discs or something, or stop buyin madden that game is stupid anyway. (no offense to madden jocks)

the campaign won't make the game for most kids though..the online play will be unreal!!!@ I never even finished the campaign all the way through on sc and broodwar

see i would be all for the online part of it and 1v1's and shit but id just get my ass kicked more times than not.

i got pretty decent in cnc 3 kw and 1v1'd a lot. but i dont have a gamer setup(my headphones, mouse, and keyboard). plus i dont like losing

During the beta most the players were pretty nerdy. Since the release however many players are seeing the game for the first time so the competition isn't as stiff.

For example. Just for kicks and giggles I went fast reaper to harass the mineral line. I got into the guys base and he had 1 rax, engineering bay, 2 gas, and 2 marine defending (Wtf at his build?). So a small force used to harass was able to kill off his whole base.

During the beta that tactic would of probably just killed a few workers.

Since you already play rts I'm sure you would do fine.

P.S. I have two guest passes that came with the game. I have no use for them. So if anyone wants a guest pass just PM me. First come first serve.
