As March passes, the Jelly community turns ten years old. We are now the longest-standing Renegade community (n00bstories closed down last year), and the most successful Renegade community of all time. We were not the first community, but we may very well be the last. Thousands of names have come and gone over the years, but Renegade as a whole has remained the same. Jelly first threw a server up in 2004 where clanwars.cc and other players could go to avoid the over-modification that had become popular on servers of that time. Because of the deep roots in competitive gameplay, Jelly Games has amassed the most impressive community match record in Renegade history. The players in Jelly servers could be labeled "try-hards" more than players found on other public servers, but Renegade's strange balance has made this place the most frequented of all. The merge with Ren-Archive in 2007 helped solidify the Jelly future with a number of servers and diverse group of players. We've had many great memories over the years, and will be celebrating the last decade with a Renegade event later on this month. Much like the tributes to spoonplex (and now bears5150), we will be blowing shit up on a grand scale and trying some things many players have never seen before. I very much hope to see you all there, and feel extremely weird typing full sentences with punctuation and whatnot.
